What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a treatment used to maintain and restore patients’ mobility, function, and well-being through physical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and health and fitness. Physiotherapists get the patient involved in their recovery based on individual needs.

A physiotherapist works with patients to help develop customized programs to restore movement and functional ability and is trained to help individuals in all stages of life. Especially helping you move and feel better, get back to playing with grandchildren or children and get back to regular activities to help you stay active and healthy.

Physiotherapy is individually based and can look different for all patients depending on your needs. We offer 30-minute one-on-one treatment to provide a thorough treatment dedicated to each individual.

What do Physiotherapists treat?

Physiotherapists help with injuries, chronic pain, post-surgery such as a hip or knee replacement or reconstruction, and day-to-day movement patterns. Other examples include:

Back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, low back pain, foot conditions, arthritis, sciatica, knee and joint problems.

Neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, nerve damage, vertigo, concussions, and stroke.

Work-related injuries, sport-related injuries, strains, sprains, and motor vehicle accident injuries.

Vantage physiotherapists provide specialized treatments, including hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, and ultrasound, to aid any soft tissue injury.
